Job summary

A leading consulting firm located in Johannesburg is seeking an Assistant Manager for Climate Change and Sustainability. In this role, you will support the successful delivery of sustainability assurance and reporting engagements, ensuring adherence to established methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a degree in commerce or a related field, along with 3 to 4 years of assurance/audit experience. You will manage client relationships, develop strategies, and drive business development while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Courses exploring technical knowledge in sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams on sustainability and climate-related impacts.
  • Deliver assurance on non-financial reporting and sustainability metrics.
  • Develop strategies to help clients navigate regulatory environments.
  • Support clients in formulating sustainability strategies.
  • Manage team and oversee project management.
  • Communicate regularly with managers and partners on deliverables.
  • Drive business development by identifying leads.
