Assistant Executive Housekeeper

Newlands, Cape Town

You are an Assistant Executive Housekeeper who is an inspiring, empowering and results-oriented leader with a passion for service excellence whilst maintaining standards and meeting or exceeding financial goals.

You will be responsible for the general management of the housekeeping department in conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper. Setting (in conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper) and maintaining housekeeping service standards; ensuring the timely availability of clean rooms in accordance with housekeeping operating standards; and ensuring that the Floor Supervisors have carried out daily room inspections will form part of this role.

You will conduct regular guest service, hygiene, and cleanliness training, along with SOP training, with staff so they can offer world-class service to our guests. Aside from this, you will lead a large team, building teamwork and personal accountability, and manage staff processes such as personal presentation, recruitment, performance management, and IR.

Along with your Matric Certificate, you have a track record of leading and managing large teams as well as experience in a similar role within the housekeeping department in a busy, up-market hotel. You have a strong operational background in housekeeping, with expertise in cost management, stock monitoring, workforce planning & rostering, IR, recruitment and selection, and daily administration. You are flexible and able to work shifts. Having your own transport will be advantageous. Demonstrated knowledge of using technology, including MS 365 and Opera, will strengthen your application.
