Accountant Position

My client is seeking an Accountant to report into the Financial Manager.

I need a vibrant, confident individual who takes initiative.

Responsibilities

• Process cashbook and recons of all bank accounts
• Process petty cash and recons of 3 branches
• Monthly recons of balance sheet accounts
• Quarterly internal audit balance sheet, include recons of all accounts
• Receive stock on Evolution, ensure prices are correct
• Prepare month end reports, ensure debtors and creditors are complete
• Review expenses for accuracy throughout the month
• Prepare and finalise management accounts for FM reviews and present during Exco
• Assist with preparation for year-end audit
• Manage expense control and expense analysis
• Prepare staff clockings time reports for month-end payroll
• Assist the Financial Manager with ad-hoc accounting and HR duties

Requirements

• Minimum of a completed BCom degree and SAIPA Articles
• Minimum of 2 years post commercial experience
• Highly numerate
• Excellent communication skills, ideally read and write in both English and Afrikaans
• Team player, positive and respectful attitude
