Job description
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reconcile all bank accounts between our systems and the bank statement
  • Responsible for the general ledger
  • Bookkeeping to trail balance
  • Ensure sound integration from the retail system to Sage Evolution
  • Process information that does not integrate from the retail system (Arch) in Sage Evolution
  • Leave cover \ rotation of duties within the group finance department
  • Support for auditors with respect to VAT/ PAYE Payroll entries
  • Annual audit preparation and support
  • Oversee cash office change orders and float counts
  • Review supplier payment reconciliations
  • Key focus areas:
    • Appropriate control over bank and cash reconciliations
    • Book keeping to trail balance

Desired Experience & Qualification
  • 10 years + in a similar environment
  • Willing to work in an open plan office
  • Comfortable to work directly with the directors in an owner managed business
  • Formal B Com Degree /Articles will be advantageous, but we seek experience and maturity
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
