Job summary
A leading company in sourcing solutions, located in Singapore, is seeking a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives. The role involves developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, analyzing market trends, and mentoring junior staff. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Economics or related fields, at least 5 years of experience in category management, and strong analytical and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is required, with a willingness to travel within Asia and occasionally Europe.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Technical Studies, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Category Management, or Strategic Sourcing.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing category strategies.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Experience in global supply chain management and automotive industry trends.
- Fluency in English; willingness to travel within Asia and occasionally Europe.
