Job description

The Meiji Group has developed strong brand recognition in the Asia Pacific area through many decades of offering a wide range of Meiji products, including confectionery and dairy products. The region is projected to experience further business growth by building a value chain and evolve into a management structure that enables us to provide value that is more aligned with local needs.

We are looking for a Digital Transformation Manager to lead and oversee the promotion and implementation of digital transformation initiatives across both our Regional Headquarters (RHQ) and its subsidiaries:

  • Develop and execute an integrated regional digital transformation plan to enhance both strategic imperatives and operational efficiency for improving business performance within Meiji Group.
  • Lead cross-functional IT projects, including but not limited to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, ensuring timely delivery, alignment with business objectives, and effective resource management.
  • Collaborate closely with HQ and subsidiaries to align digital strategies, systems integration, and process optimisation.
  • Drive IT security governance management to ensure compliance, resilience, and protection of Company assets.
  • Monitor digital transformation progress, analyse performance metrics, and provide reports with actionable insights to regional leadership.
  • Ensure consistency in digital practices and compliance within Meiji Group and local regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the key contact point for all matters related to digital transformation and IT governance at RHQ and its subsidiaries.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management, with proven success in leading complex digital initiatives.
  • Strong capability in strategy planning related to digital transformation and IT governance.
  • Deep knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging digital technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a must.
  • Proficiency in both English and Japanese to liaise effectively with HQ Digital Transformation and IT system integrator teams, led by Japan HQ level.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels.
  • Experience working in or with Japanese companies are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver results across diverse business units.
  • Willingness to travel to Japan (HQ) and overseas subsidiaries as needed.
