Job summary
A local cafe in Singapore is seeking an experienced cook to assist the head chef in preparing breakfast and lunch meals, as well as ready-made meals for sale. Responsibilities include supporting food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. The ideal candidate should have experience in a kitchen context. Qualifications

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and support food orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and standards in the kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with health codes.
We are looking for an experienced cook to support the head chef in our cafe kitchen. Duties will generally involve the preparation of breakfast and lunch meals, as well as ready‑made meals sold in our cafe and other outlets.
- Prepare and/or support the preparation of all food orders
- Carry out food pre‑preparation tasks according to direction by the Head Chef.
- Carry out maintenance and cleaning for equipment, storage, and work areas.
- Place orders for ingredients and other food items
- Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.
- Cleaning and sanitising work areas, utensils and equipment
- Ordering, receiving and distributing stock supplies
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management
