Job description
About Us

At South Side Keppel, we pride ourselves on delivering a refined yet relaxed all-day brunch and dining experience — from signature rosti and artisanal coffee to dinner specials like pan-seared fish and gourmet mains. We strive for consistent quality, warm hospitality, and a memorable atmosphere.

We’re now looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead our team and ensure our high standards are consistently met as we grow.

What You’ll Do — Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations (front-of-house and back-of-house), ensuring high standards in food quality, presentation, and service.

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and manage F&B staff — including service crew, kitchen team, baristas — coordinating staff schedules, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen/culinary team to develop and refine the menu (brunch, dinner specials, beverages), keeping it aligned with customer preferences, seasonal availability, and cost targets.

  • Manage procurement, inventory, and supplies — monitor stock levels, order ingredients and beverages, control costs, and minimize wastage.

  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and sanitation regulations, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the outlet.

  • Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and service recovery when needed.

  • Monitor financial performance of the F&B operations — manage budgets, track costs (food, labour, supplies), analyze sales reports, and recommend improvements to maximize profitability.

What We’re Looking For — Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Food & Beverage management or a similar supervisory role in a café/restaurant/hospitality environment.

  • Strong leadership and team-management skills — able to recruit, train, lead, and motivate a diverse F&B staff.

  • Excellent customer-service orientation, with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Solid inventory management, budgeting, cost control, vendor relations, and food safety/hygiene standards.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic restaurant environment; flexible with working hours, including weekends and public holidays.

  • Familiarity with POS systems/restaurant software and basic financial reporting, or willingness to learn.

What We Offer
  • The opportunity to lead and shape the operations of a growing, vibrant café/restaurant with a unique brunch‑to‑dinner concept

  • Competitive compensation (commensurate with experience)

  • Staff meals/dining discounts/employee benefits (details to be discussed)

  • A supportive, collaborative team environment, with opportunities for growth and professional development
