Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Cost Estimator in Singapore to provide accurate cost estimates for aircraft tooling and military vehicles. The role requires collaboration with various teams to align cost estimates with technical specifications and company goals. Candidates should have a Diploma or Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in the MRO Aviation industry.
Qualifications
- Min 3 years’ experience in estimating or cost engineering.
- Experience in tooling fabrication and machining facility.
- Sound knowledge of GD&T, materials, and aviation standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for products.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure estimates align with specifications.
- Evaluate technical specifications and determine cost-effective solutions.
Skills
Education

- To develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for custom and standard products, primarily in the areas of aircraft tooling and military vehicles.
- To collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure all estimates align with technical specifications, client requirements, and company profitability goals.
- Evaluate technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements to determine cost-effective solutions for tool and equipment acquisition or fabrication.
- Provide timely and accurate pricing for new projects, modifications, or repairs involving tools and GSE.
- Min Diploma / Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
- At least 3 years’ experience in estimating or cost engineering, in a tooling fabrication and machining facility, preferably from MRO Aviation industry
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Sound working knowledge of engineering principles, GD&T, materials, surface & heat treatments, and qualification testing.
- Conversant with the relevant international and aviation standards
Working hours : Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 6.00 pm)
Working location : Seletar
