From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview
  • Apply necessary gas back-up and chilled bars as required to perform efficient weld repair
  • Perform manual and laser weld of all products with different weld configurations
  • Identify and replace basic fixture/tooling due to wear and tear
  • Simple refining of welding parameters
  • Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks
The Ideal Candidate

Minimum GCE 'O' level with 3 years of relevant experience in TIG Welding

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ level with 3 years of relevant experience
  • Preferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in welding
  • Relevant TIG certificates; or
  • Preferably CAAS approval in TIG Welding/General Welding or equivalent
  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of measuring instrument, TIG Welding
  • Must be able to fully comprehend process parameters and consistently produce good quality parts
  • Ability to read & understand technical drawings/instructions
  • A team player
