Job summary

A construction engineering company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Workplace Safety and Health Officer to oversee Safety, Health, and Environmental functions for infrastructure projects. This role requires a Registered WSH Officer and ECO, a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems, and at least 3 years of WSH experience. The ideal candidate will promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to oversee and manage all Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) functions for our electrical and power infrastructure projects.

The candidate will play a key role in ensuring full compliance with local regulations, SHE standards, and all project safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain the SHE Management System
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and enforcement actions
  • Develop and update RA, SWP, PTW and safety procedures
  • Conduct safety training, induction and toolbox meetings
  • Investigate and report incidents, accidents and near misses
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors and engineers
  • Maintain SHE documentation, reports, and PPE records
  • Plan and conduct emergency drills and safety campaigns
  • Promote strong safety culture across all levels
Requirements
  • Registered WSH Officer (WSHO) – mandatory
  • Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) – mandatory
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Systems
  • 3+ years of relevant WSH experience
  • Familiar with electrical safety, HT/LT installations or M&E works
  • Good knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation & Codes of Practice
  • Strong communication, coordination and leadership skills
