A construction firm in Singapore is looking for a Workplace Safety and Health Officer. Responsibilities include overseeing safety, health, and environmental compliance on site, working with project teams to manage hazards, and conducting inspections to ensure adherence to regulations. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry and hold necessary safety certifications. The ideal candidate is responsible, organized, and possesses strong interpersonal skills.
Responsible for overseeing and carrying out all works relating to the safety, health and environmental matters in the project.
Work closely with project team & contractors to mitigate and control all high risk hazards to maintain a safe workplace.
Ensure overall compliance and good procedures/practices in statutory environmental and health requirements at project site and requirement premises at all time.
To identify any unsafe condition in the worksite or unsafe work practice is carried out in the worksite.
Implement and monitor environmental, health & safety management system on site.
Prepare, submit statutory reports and maintain of documentation for all EHS issues according to ISO.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all site activities are carried out in compliance with MOM, NEA and EHS regulations.
Liaise with relevant authorities on all environmental and safety issues.
Support all in-house EHS initiatives.
Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety And Health or MOM recognized certificates.
Registered Workplace Safety And Health Officer.
At least 5 years' experience as Workplace Safety and Health Officer in the construction industry.
Experienced in HDB BTO/HIP projects.
Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Must be responsible, organized and self-initiated.
Respect for deadlines, sense of urgency.
