Job Summary

Responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and optimisation of the water treatment plant processes. The role involves ensuring that all systems perform efficiently and meet the required water quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control the water treatment process flows for the plant, including influent / effluent quality, chemical dosing, clarifiers, filters and disinfection.
  • Conduct sampling, process data collection and analysis to check system performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist operations and maintenance in troubleshooting process issues, working with contractors or subcontractors as required.
  • Support commissioning and system optimisation tasks for new or upgraded treatment units.
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation : SOPs, risk assessments, logs, performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable water-treatment, environmental and safety regulations.
  • Liaise closely with project engineering, operations, maintenance teams and external vendors.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities (efficiency, cost, quality, reliability).
