As a Strategic Account Executive for the Philippines and Malaysia, you will own and grow GitLab’s enterprise relationships in these key Southeast Asia markets. You’ll help large organizations realize the full value of GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform by leading the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through rollout and long-term adoption. Reporting to an Area Sales Manager or Regional Director, you’ll use a consultative approach to understand complex customer needs, guide them through evaluation, and coordinate pre- and post-sales resources to ensure successful deployments and visible business outcomes.
You’ll work under minimal supervision on complex deals, act as the voice of the customer into GitLab, and partner closely with our strategic channel partners to generate qualified opportunities and develop new customers. In your first year, you’ll be expected to establish and execute clear account plans for enterprise prospects and customers in the Philippines and Malaysia, build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, and consistently manage your forecast and pipeline with transparency and discipline.
The Strategic Account Executive will join our Southeast Asia enterprise sales team, which focuses on driving GitLab adoption with large customers in the Philippines and Malaysia. The team is responsible for the full relationship lifecycle with enterprise accounts, from initial engagement through long-term expansion and advocacy, ensuring customers realize value from GitLab’s DevSecOps platform. Team members work in an all-remote, distributed environment and collaborate asynchronously across time zones with sales leadership, solutions architects, customer success, marketing, and channel partners. The team is currently focused on maintaining and growing our existing footprint in the region, executing a consistent global sales motion while adapting to local customer needs and partnering closely with strategic channel organizations to reach and support key accounts.
Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement. Additionally, studies have shown that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single qualification. If you're excited about this role, please apply and allow our recruiters to assess your application.
