Job summary

A construction company in Singapore is seeking a Stenographer to support project teams. The ideal candidate will attend meetings to take shorthand notes, provide transcription services, and assist with various administrative tasks. A minimum diploma in Business Administration is required along with experience as a Stenographer or similar role. Candidates must be able to type 80–100 words per minute.   • Attend site, project, tender, and management meetings to take accurate shorthand notes.
  • Provide real-time stenography support during meetings, discussions, and site briefings.
  • Transcribe minutes accurately using shorthand / fast typing and prepare clean, organised reports.
  • Assist project teams with administrative tasks such as filing, document tracking, scheduling and coordination.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters and documentation.
  • Support tender, project and site teams with document formatting, data entry and record keeping.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive project materials and company information.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth administrative workflow.
Job Requirments
  • Minimum Diploma / Certificate in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Stenographer, Secretary or Admin Assistant preferred (construction industry is an advantage).
  • Able to type at least 80–100 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Knowledge of stenography/shorthand is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and time-management.
  • Able to handle confidential matters professionally.
  • Good communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
