Job description

The role involves planning the training schedule for staff on their assigned duties and the quality management system with consultation of the Laboratory Director in the absence of the Quality Manager. You will be responsible for the regular maintenance of laboratory equipment and monitoring the temperature and humidity of the lab atmosphere and relevant equipment, recording the data in the respective formats. It will be your duty to validate test reagents and control materials before tests, maintain the stock register, and indent the reagents and materials accordingly to prevent the use of expired items.Additionally, you will be preparing quality control materials for testing as per the manufacturer's recommendation, testing quality control materials as per the schedule, and calibrating test parameters when required. Sample processing, integrity checking of samples before testing, testing patient samples as per the standard method, and maintaining records of quality control and test results will also be part of your responsibilities.Furthermore, you will handle sample storage as per the given criteria after test completion, test EQAS samples as necessary, verify test results before releasing the final report to the patient, inform concerned parties of critical results, and maintain records accordingly. You will also perform various support duties for the laboratory.This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including Provident Fund, rotational shifts, weekend availability, yearly bonus, and requires at least 5 years of experience as a Lab Technician.
