Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop firmware and embedded software for next-gen Adapters and IOs. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in real-time embedded systems, excellent skills in C and C++, and familiarity with Agile processes. Qualifications

Job description

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will play an important role in the design, development, testing, and support of embedded software for next-generation Adapters and IOs. You are expected to adhere to engineering best practices and processes while collaborating with a global team of professionals.

You will actively participate in or lead technical reviews with your peers, aiming to resolve problems early in the development phase. We are looking for you to meet project milestones and deadlines, demonstrating Experience creating system documentation and reliability. Furthermore, you will excel in a diverse, multicultural team environment, contributing to collective success while also being can independent work.

You will report to Engineering Manager-Firmware follow a Hybrid working schedule in Singapore.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop firmware and embedded software for cutting-edge Adapters and IOs.
  • Participate in technical reviews to identify issues early and propose solutions.
  • Deliver project outcomes promptly.
  • Contribute to a positive, innovative, and inclusive team culture.
The Essentials - You Will Have:

Educational Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, with a focus on Embedded Software Engineering or Master's in Computer Science

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in developing real-time embedded systems.
Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of programming in C and C++
  • Experience in industrial control systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in programming 32-bit microcontrollers (preferably ARM) and in developing low-level device drivers.
  • Have solid knowledge in RTOS and have experienced in developing embedded application using RTOS.
  • Experience in Communication Protocols like TCI/IP, CIP
  • Have knowledge in Secure Coding CERT C/C++ Standard will be an advantage.
  • Have experience in Security Development processes will be an advantage.
  • Have familiarity with unit testing methodologies
  • Experience using various hardware-assisted debugging tools
  • Familiarity with Agile processes, static analysis tools, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
