What you’ll do

Leading design systems at Reap

As our Senior Design Systems Designer, you’ll lead a small but focused systems team—including two front-end engineers—responsible for shaping the DNA of Reap’s product suite. You’ll elevate the design system as mission-critical infrastructure—defining its strategy, structure, governance, and growth. You’ll also play a central role in unifying our platform for brand, design, and content with a reimagined Reap Brand & Design Portal.

Responsibilities

• Own the design system strategy—define its vision, roadmap, and integration across Reap’s platform.
• Architect and evolve tokens, patterns, and components that balance speed, flexibility, and consistency across web, mobile, and internal tools.
• Design with AI in mind—embed AI-aware UX patterns that support adaptive interfaces and emerging user behaviours.
• Bridge design and code—work closely with UX Engineers to ensure tokens, components, and states are implemented precisely and scalably.
• Establish governance and contribution models—triage requests, evolve assets, and sunset outdated patterns.
• Create rituals and tooling for QA, versioning, and lifecycle management of system assets.
• Mentor and upskill engineers and designers on system thinking, ensuring healthy adoption across the org.
• Champion accessibility and inclusivity, making Reap’s system a foundation that works for everyone.
• Continuously refine how the system works, moving it from passive library to active infrastructure.

About you

A systems thinker, strategist, and craft leader

• 6+ years of product or UX/UI design, with at least 3 focused specifically on design systems.
• Proven experience leading design systems at scale, ideally in fintech, infrastructure, or complex B2B software.
• Expert-level Figma proficiency—tokens, variants, libraries, auto layout, interactive components.
• Fluent in design-to-code workflows and tools like Storybook, Zeroheight, Git, and versioning practices.
• Comfortable working deeply with engineers—bridging design intent with technical implementation.
• Passionate about unifying platform, brand, product, and content through a reimagined Reap Brand & Design Portal.
• Strong communicator able to align designers, engineers, marketers, and stakeholders around a shared language for quality and usability.
• Curiosity and eagerness to mentor others.
• Excited by AI and automation—as tools to reimagine how systems work at scale.
• Known for raising the bar—your systems become reference points for consistency and craft, inspiring others, and your standards shape the culture of the team.
• An original perspective or background—you bring something unique that broadens our creative diversity.
• Degree in Design or related field is welcome, but we equally value self-taught designers with mastery of systems craft.
