Job summary

A staffing and search firm in Singapore is seeking a finance professional to assist with economic reports, transaction timing, and auditing preparation. Candidates should ideally have experience in commodity trading accounting, a solid understanding of derivative products, and familiarity with legal and financial terms. A CPA qualification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in commodity trading accounting is a good to have.
• Understanding of derivative products including futures and options.
• General understanding of logistics, such as INCOTERMS.

• Examine economic reports and general ledger.
• Assist operations team in transaction timing.

Job description

• Examine the economic report as well as the general ledger.
• Examine the Payment Order that the Finance / Accounting Executive has produced.
• Assist the operations team in determining the time of each transaction. (Productivity, Cost of Goods)
• Preparation for audited economic reports, communicate with the auditor.
• Compile monthly analysis for the Board of Directors and Shareholders.
• Examine the reports that have been gathered from every department.
• Assist System Contractor with the requirement specification and request enhancements by establishing our logic for each function.
• Liaise with Trading / Deals Desk, Finance Team and Operations Team to prepare contract sheets.
• Acquire the signed Contract Sheet by coordinating with the buyer.

Requirements:

• Experience in commodity trading accounting is a good to have
• Understanding of derivative products including futures, options as well as physical products.
• Understanding of hedge accounting.
• Familiar with Legal and Financial Terms
• General understanding of General logistics, such as INCOTERMS and UCP600.
• Ability to stay up to speed on current events across the world.
• CPA holder is preferred, but not mandatory
• Ability to provide risk-mitigation strategies for contractual and accounting concerns.
