The Account Executive will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a global trading and shipping business. This position involves trade reconciliation, budgeting, and financial reporting, with close collaboration across commercial teams and senior leadership.

Description

• Maintain vessel-wise profitability reports and reconcile physical and derivative trades.
• Coordinate with trade finance teams on Letters of Credit and structured instruments.
• Prepare monthly management reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Manage tax assessments, audits, and financial enquiries from external stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate AR/AP reporting and compliance with internal programs.

Profile

A successful Account Executive should have:

• Holds a degree or diploma in Accounting and is professionally qualified (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA).
• Brings at least 4 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and taxation.
• Prior exposure to commodity trading or shipping environments is advantageous.
• Proficient in accounting systems such as XERO and comfortable working with financial data.
• Strong communication skills, with fluency in English to collaborate effectively with international stakeholders.
• Demonstrates adaptability, initiative, and sound judgment in a fast-paced setting.
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
