A leading marine and offshore company in Singapore is seeking a Scaffold Supervisor. This role is crucial for planning, supervising, and ensuring the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures at construction sites. Key responsibilities include leading a team of scaffolders, conducting inspections for safety compliance, and planning scaffolding based on project needs. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily scaffolding activities at the worksite.
  • Plan scaffolding requirements according to project needs and drawings.
  • Inspect scaffolding materials and structures to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Verify scaffold tags and ensure scaffolds are safe for use before work begins.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and brief workers on safety requirements.
  • Ensure workers follow proper scaffolding procedures and use PPE.
  • Liaise with site engineers, safety officers, and project managers.
  • Maintain records of scaffold inspections, permits, and maintenance.
  • Identify and report hazards or unsafe practices immediately.
  • Train and mentor scaffold erectors and riggers under supervision.

The Scaffold Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures at construction or industrial sites. The role involves leading a team of scaffolders, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring all scaffolding works comply with statutory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily scaffolding activities at the worksite.
  • Plan scaffolding requirements according to project needs and drawings.
  • Inspect scaffolding materials and structures to ensure safety and compliance with regulations (SS659 / WSH standards).
  • Verify scaffold tags and ensure scaffolds are safe for use before work begins.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and brief workers on safety requirements.
  • Ensure workers follow proper scaffolding procedures and use PPE.
  • Liaise with site engineers, safety officers, and project managers regarding scaffold access requirements.
  • Maintain records of scaffold inspections, permits, and maintenance.
  • Identify and report hazards or unsafe practices immediately.
  • Train and mentor scaffold erectors and riggers under supervision.
