Qualifications

This position will be focusing primarily on our Motive Power applications, which include industrial lift trucks and pallet jacks, rail equipment, mining equipment, and airline ground support equipment. Some of the motive power brands include Hawker, Ironclad, General Battery, and Fiamm. Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.

Job Purpose:

Develop, implement, and realize the sales/service and/or business plan and develop, structure, and manage the assigned area/unit within the overall business strategy, in order to realize commercial and business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Marketing development and planning for the appointed market segment.
  • Maintaining good relations with customers, educating them on company products, price movements, and other developments.
  • Meeting customers regularly to identify business opportunities.
  • Promote business to potential customers and assist his superior in sales promotional activities.
  • Handling customer complaints and attending to issues.
  • Continuing follow-up production leadtime and shipment schedule to make sure goods arrive/deliver on time.
  • DSO control - ensure the collection of debts on time.
  • Exercising discretion and independent judgment
  • Judgement when dealing with critical matters within the organization
  • Act as liaison between the company and the field representatives, as well as facilitate business processes and assist with problem resolution
  • Achieve sales goals
  • Lead the selling process and identify customers and sales channel management; profit and loss responsibility that includes forecasting sales, tracking margins, and managing costs
  • This position may have supervisory responsibility
  • Travel could be extensive
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Master's Degree preferred)
  • 5-7 years of extensive and successful sales experience or a combination of education and experience (Preferably in a Battery or Back-Up Energy environment)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Superb written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to understand and explain technical electrical systems and material handling
  • Basic math ability; proficient in Microsoft applications
