Job summary

A leading company in the construction industry is seeking a Sales Engineer with expertise in quantity surveying. This role entails developing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and providing accurate cost estimates. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in sales and business development, particularly in railroad projects, and will hold a bachelor's degree in engineering fields.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, and quantity surveying within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of securing contracts and managing cost estimation.
  • Preferably possess Class 3 Driving License with own transport.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present project proposals, tenders, and technical sales presentations.

Sales Engineer (With Quantity Surveying Expertise)

  • Salary: $5k - $6k
  • Working Days: Mon – Fri 8:30am to 5:30 pm
  • Working Location: Joo Koon / Site

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, and quantity surveying within the construction industryespecially in railway project
  • Proven track record of securing contracts and managing cost estimation.
  • Preferably Possess Class3 Driving License with own transport

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to secure projects.
  • Identify potential clients, establish relationships, and generate business leads.
  • Prepare and present project proposals, tenders, and technical sales presentations.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.

Quantity Surveying & Cost Estimation:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Analyse material, labour, and equipment costs for competitive pricing.
  • Assist in contract management, tender preparation, and bid submission.
  • Assess project risks, financial feasibility, and cost-saving opportunities.

Project & Client Management:

  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure compliance with contract terms and budgetary constraints.
  • Provide technical and commercial insights to enhance project profitability.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
