Ashland is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join the Pharma, Lifesciences function in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Reporting to the Sales Director, this role is crucial within the company and the Life Sciences function.

As a Sales Account Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales and business development of Ashland excipients with pharmaceutical, life science, and biopharmaceutical companies.
  • Preparing and achieving sales targets.
  • Keeping management informed through various reports.
  • Implementing value selling and key account management strategies.
  • Monitoring competition.
  • Servicing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A B. Pharm and a Management diploma or degree/M.Pharm.
  • Interaction with SCM, R&D, QA & RA teams internally, and customer purchase and R&D teams externally.

Key technical competencies include familiarity with pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing operations, strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a passion for value selling. Being a good team player is also essential.

The role requires frequent travel.
