Job summary

A leading logistics consultancy firm in Singapore is looking for a Safety Executive to ensure compliance with safety regulations and develop EHS training programs. The role involves coordinating audits, investigating incidents, and supervising contractors to foster a strong safety culture. Ideal candidates should have a diploma in Workplace Safety & Health and at least one year of relevant experience. A competitive salary of up to S$4000/month is offered with a 5-day work week.

Qualifications

Job description

The company, a world leading organization with businesses spanning across the world, serve as logistics consultant in providing one-stop business solutions that connect people and companies beyond national and regional boundaries, through diverse logistics modes, integrating land, air and marine transport is seeking a keen Safety (WSH) Executive to join its expanding team.

Job Duties
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and welfare regulations, including the use of PPE, to meet statutory obligations and project safety requirements.
  • Identify training needs and develop and deliver EHS training programs regularly to enhance employee awareness and competence.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, and maintain EHS documentation in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification requirements.
  • Investigate all EHS incidents and accidents thoroughly, ensuring timely and effective closure of all cases.
  • Conduct EHS inductions for contractors and visitors as required.
  • Supervise and guide contractors/sub-contractors to ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on Element’s premises or project sites.
  • Prepare and submit safety reports in accordance with site-specific requirements and monthly NX regional reporting.
  • Develop and review risk assessments in compliance with the current Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA), in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct monthly WSH inspections in coordination with external consultants, and follow up on the closure of all findings.
  • Analyze safety performance data, identify gaps, and implement improvements in line with safety standards.
  • Maintain the Emergency Response Plan in compliance with SCDF requirements, including Fire Certificate renewal and CERT team structure.
  • Foster a strong safety culture across the workforce, ensuring adherence to safety standards and government regulations.
  • Manage day-to-day operations in the industrial building, including responding to operational inquiries, and addressing WSH inspection-related needs and complaints.
  • Ensure all fire safety equipment is maintained and inspected in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and provide technical support for mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and sanitary services, air-conditioning and ventilation (ACMV) systems, chillers, and electrical control systems.
Job Requirements
  • Min. a Diploma/Professional certification in Workplace Safety & Health
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with MOM
  • FSM certification, Biz Safety Level 2 or Work at Height Certificate- Assessor is an added advantage
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
