Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to plan and monitor tender documents and site progress for various projects. The role includes duties in both the tender and execution stages, such as verifying drawings, performing quantity take-offs, and assisting in claims submissions. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering, at least 2 years of experience in Singapore, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preference is given to Singaporean applicants.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Track tender documents, drawings, and corrigenda.
  • Verify tender drawings and prepare inquiries.
  • Assist with quotations and selection of subcontractors.

  • Assist with tender evaluation and document preparation.
  • Document and file evidence for substantiation purposes.

Job Description

The Quantity Surveyor plans, controls and monitors the tender drawing, documents and BQs for all tender projects, in both tender stage and post tender stage. The Quantity Surveyor also assist to verify the site progress, claim and monitor the material balance sheet in execution stage.

Duties and Responsibilities
Tender Stage
  • To keep track all tender documents, drawing and corrigendum base on the document control process.
  • To verify the tender drawing/detail and prepare the tender enquiry.
  • To assist Superior to call for quotations, selection of qualified subcontractors/vendors and distribute the relevant tender documents.
  • Perform quantity take-off for tender projects based on the set time line.
  • Assist with tender evaluation and prepare of tender documents for submission.
  • Ensure all documentary evidences and contemporary records are properly documented, filed and complied for substantiation purposes.
  • Able to read M&E drawings.
Execution Stage
  • Site verifications of variations and taking records for submissions of claims.
  • to assist project manager/designated staff to evaluate and certify completed work.
  • Assist in verifying sub-contractor’s claims.
  • prepare and assist in monitoring the progress of claims submission and payment (this shall be under contract manager’ duty)Monitor all order in execution and report on the balance amount.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Survey or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years working experience in Singapore is required.
  • Certain knowledge & experience in M&E system requirement.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
  • Able to work independent with min supervision.
  • Good knowledge and skill set in Microsoft Office.
  • Quick learner and willing to explore to new skill sets/technologies.
  • Singaporean are preferred to apply.
