At Amaris, we strive to provide our candidates with the best possible recruitment experience. We like to get to know our candidates, challenge them, and be able to give them proper feedback as quickly as possible. Here's what our recruitment process looks like:

Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem‑solving scenario, etc.

As you know, every person is different and so is every role in a company. That is why we have to adapt accordingly, and the process may differ slightly at times. However, please know that we always put ourselves in the candidate's shoes to ensure they have the best possible experience.

We look forward to meeting you!

Job description
Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Production Engineer to support the deployment, management, and optimization of mission‑critical business applications within real‑time payment ecosystems. This includes instant payments, cross‑border remittances, card processing, and related financial transaction platforms. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong problem‑solving abilities to ensure high availability, performance, and continuous improvement of payment applications in production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize enterprise‑grade applications supporting real‑time payment systems (instant payments, remittances, card transactions, etc.).
  • Streamline and enhance CI/CD pipelines using XLDeploy and other DevOps tools to ensure reliable and automated application releases.
  • Build, manage, and orchestrate containerized applications using Docker; experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Administer application artifacts, binaries, and dependencies via Nexus or equivalent repository managers.
  • Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring and observability using Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar APM tools to ensure system health and rapid incident response.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of Level 3 production incidents, including log analysis, performance tuning, root cause analysis (RCA), and process recovery.
  • Operate efficiently in Unix/Linux environments, automating repetitive tasks using advanced Shell scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize web servers such as Apache, NGINX, or equivalent technologies.
  • Proactively identify and drive continuous improvements in application reliability, automation, incident reduction, and service quality—aligned with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
  • Analyze, prioritize, and resolve complex Level 3 support tickets related to the payment processing stream in coordination with internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient application deployments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in application support, operations, or DevOps, preferably in financial services or payment systems.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with XLDeploy, Docker, Nexus, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux systems and advanced shell scripting (Bash/Shell/Python).
  • Solid understanding of web servers (Apache, NGINX) and middleware technologies.
  • Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and performance optimization in high‑availability environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices, ITIL processes, and SRE concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, client‑facing consulting environment.
What we offer
  • An international community bringing together 110+ different nationalities
  • An environment where trust has a central place: 70% of our key leaders started their careers at the first level of responsibilities
  • A robust training system with our internal Academy and 250+ available modules
