Job summary

A leading construction consultancy in Singapore is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage various pre- and post-contract functions. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and have at least 12-15 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include estimation of project costs, progress payment valuations, and providing contractual advice. Candidates with SISV or RICS membership will have an added advantage, along with strong communication and team player skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12-15 years of relevant working experience.
• Candidates with SISV and/or RICS professional membership will be at an added advantage.
• Conversant with Singapore building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Pre-contract functions including cost estimation, cost planning, and preparation of tender documents.
• Post-contract functions like payment valuation, variation claims, and final account settlement.
• Providing contractual advice and managing contractual claims.
• Other duties as assigned by the Division.

• Pre-contract functions involving estimation of project costs, cost planning and control, preparation of tender documents, value engineering exercise, contract documentation and other pre-contract related activities.
• Post-contract functions involving progress payment valuation and recommendation, valuation of variations, settlement of variation claims with contractors, settlement of final account and other post-contract related activities.
• Providing contractual advice and Contractual Claims management.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Division.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent from a recognized University.
• Possess 12-15 years of relevant working experience.
• Candidates with SISV and/or RICS professional membership will be at an added advantage.
