Who You Are
A big-picture thinker with the hands-on curiosity of a maker. You guide teams with clarity, collaborate with heart, and leave every project better than you found it.
What You’ll Do
Design Leadership
- Set the design tone for projects—from early sketches to final built form.
- Inspire teams with concepts that are bold, grounded, and human-centric.
- Champion craft, ecology, and detail as equal parts of the design narrative.
- Elevate design reviews and push for new ways of thinking, making, and representing landscape.
Project Stewardship
- Oversee all stages of project development with strong design and technical judgement.
- Navigate multidisciplinary coordination with confidence and clarity.
- Guide documentation excellence and ensure that drawings tell a clear, compelling story.
- Support site implementation with a keen eye for detail and execution.
Client & Partner Engagement
- Present ideas with passion, precision, and honesty.
- Build authentic relationships with clients, agencies, collaborators, and communities.
- Advocate for meaningful, climate-responsive, and culturally sensitive landscapes.
Studio & Practice Leadership
- Experience in setting up and leading/ mentoring a team of 10+ in Singapore or with multiple teams across Asia.
- Mentor designers into confident thinkers and independent leaders.
- Contribute to shaping our studio culture—curious, collaborative, and craft-driven.
- Lead business development efforts, proposals, and pitches with design integrity.
- Help steer the studio’s long-term vision, research directions, and design ethos.
- Involvement in academic work would be a bonus.
What You Bring
- Degree in Landscape Architecture (Master’s preferred but not essential).
- Over 15+ years of professional experience, ideally including regional or international work.
- A strong design portfolio that demonstrates conceptual depth, technical finesse, and built landscapes.
- Experience leading large-scale public realm, mixed-use, hospitality, institutional, or cultural projects.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and client engagement abilities.
- Deep familiarity with Singapore’s planning and construction environment.
- A mindset that values collaboration, experimentation, and thoughtful leadership.
