Payment Systems Analyst for Integration workstream - 10 to 12 years experience
Primary Skillset (must have)
- Technical Skills: Proficient in banking/payment system design, data modelling, interface protocols and detailed insights on payment file formats (e.g. ISO20022, APIs, ACH, etc), including SWIFT payment fields/value mapping and validations. Awareness of banking security requirements and technical handling.
- Analytical Skills: Strong background in banking technology, Cash Management products, payment processing and system analysis. Strong ability to analyze complex systems interaction and processes, identify issues, and propose effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for collaborating and conflict management with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address system issues and provide timely resolutions. Market practice awareness to assess new requirements and improve operational efficiency.
Secondary Skillset (good to have)
- Project Management: Understanding project lifecycles and able to manage technical stream deliverables and reporting using project management tools. On-time escalation to relevant parties/stakeholders is essential.
- Documentation: Ability to create comprehensive documentation, including Interface register / specifications, system architecture diagrams, etc.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the Payment industry best practices, including regulations, standards, emerging technologies, payment trends and best practices.
- Strong understanding of payment processing infrastructures, including: ACH, SWIFT MT/MX, Instant/FAST Payments, APIs, Virtual Account Payables/Receivables and Liquidity management.
