Job summary

A food service company in Bishan is looking for kitchen staff to handle food preparation and ensure hygiene standards. Roles involve cooking, portioning food for delivery, and managing inventory. Applicants must have Food Safety Course Level 1 certification and be flexible with working hours, including weekends and public holidays. Job description

Location: Bishan

Work environment: Air-conditioned kitchen that handles only permissible and halal-certified ingredients.

6-days work week (1 rest day scheduled on weekday).

Day shift:

  • 9:00am to 1:00pm
  • 9:00am to 2:00pm
  • 11:00am to 3:00pm
  • 12:00pm to 5:00 pm

Evening shift:

  • 5:00pm to 10:00pm

Gross hourly rate: SGD 12.50

Prorated leaves entitlement for part-timers upon completion of the 3-month probation period.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Food preparation, cooking, and operating of kitchen equipment according to recipe cards and instructions.
  • Portion and pack cooked food for delivery and distribution based on given instructions.
  • Adhere to food safety/hygiene standards and maintain cleanliness of kitchen, kitchenware and equipment at all time.
  • Manage the receiving of inventories from suppliers according to checklist provided.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions and FEFO practices are met for each product category.
  • Daily monitoring of inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to Outlet Manager.
Requirements
  • Only Singaporeans and Permanent Residents may apply.
  • Possess a valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certification.
  • Able to commit on Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays.
  • Flexibility to rotate between the 4- and 5-hour shift for Day-shift crew.
  • Able to multi-task and handle busy service periods independently.
  • Candidates with little or no experience are welcome to apply. On-job training provided.
