Job description
    As an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) in the Delivery department located in Navi Mumbai, you will be responsible for completing various assessments and assignments within the established timeline. It is essential to maintain a daily log of all activities undertaken, ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures, particularly those related to HIPAA and overall compliance standards. Utilizing official references such as Standards for Oncology Registry Entry (STORE) and American Joint Commission on Cancer Staging Manual is crucial for accurate completion of assignments. Adhering to the Code of Ethics set by the National Cancer Registrars Association is mandatory.During examinations, you will be required to pass AHIMA pre-requisite courses and Cancer Registry Management courses with a minimum score of 70%. Post clearing the examinations, your responsibilities will involve complex data abstraction, participation in team meetings, and maintaining a high level of medical knowledge and expertise in data capture systems. Consistent compliance with quality levels indicated in the QA plan for each project is expected, along with timely reconciliation of errors based on feedback received.It is important to note that duties, responsibilities, and activities may change without notice. The ODS student is accountable for attending work daily, completing all assigned activities, and meeting the outlined timeline to take the Oncology Data Specialist Certification Exam. Certification attainment requires meeting productivity and quality standards while earning continuing education credits to maintain the ODS-C credential.This role requires a Graduate or Post Graduate qualification in Medicos such as BDS, MDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BPT, MD, or in Non-Medicos fields like Life Science, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Nursing, Pharm-D, Paramedics. Having 0-5 years of experience in clinical or non-clinical fields, strong time management skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel and Word) are essential for success in this role. Working full-time from the office, especially during the training and ramp-up phase, is expected.,
