Job summary

A logistics recruitment firm in Singapore is looking for candidates for shipping and logistics roles. Responsibilities include ensuring timely deliveries, handling shipping documents, and liaising with external partners. Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years relevant experience in International/cross border logistics.
• Valid professional certification for Dangerous Goods regulations preferred.
• Experience with Letter of Credit will be advantageous.

Job description

Duties:

• Ensure deliveries are executed in a Timely and Right First Time manner to foster customer satisfaction, and pro-actively communicate delivery related information and mitigation plans (where appropriate) to stakeholders.

• Responsible for shipping documents for outgoing shipments based on customer’s shipping instructions.

• Support in documentation readiness for all outgoing shipments and liaise closely with freight forwarders and external warehouse based on shipment schedules.

• Monitor shipping documentations and ensure all documents are sent to the forwarders and customers timely.

• Initiate efficiency and / or savings improvements opportunities in respective area of responsibility.

• Review escalation of issues from customers' or shippers' and reviews complaints regarding distribution services.

• Attend daily logistic meeting to update shipping documents KPI tracker and findings to the team.

• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor/manager.

• Opportunity to understand and experience full range of shipping documents such as E Form D, ACWS, Certificate of Origin, Letter of Credit etc

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree holder majoring in Supply Chain or business-related discipline.

• 1 to 3 years relevant experience in International/cross border logistics.

• Valid professional certification relating to international and local Dangerous Goods regulations: IATA, IMDG preferred not a must.

• Good knowledge of International/cross border logistics process and incoterms

• Experience with Letter of Credit will be advantageous.

• Experience with SAP Shipping & Transportation module preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft office like Excel/VBA.

Working Hours: Mon-Thurs: 8am to 5pm, Fri: 8am to 3.30pm
