Job summary

Job title: Legal Director • Salary: SGD 8,000 - 13,000 • Reference ID: 37002

Our client, a reputable global consulting firm, is seeking a Legal Director with strong familiarity with APAC laws and regulations to assume this group-level role based in Singapore.

Reporting to: COO

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and support all legal aspects of the organization’s operations.
  • Advise senior management on legal strategy, risk, and compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, SaaS contracts, vendor and contractor agreements, and NDAs.
  • Lead and support end-to-end M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.
  • Enhance and update internal policy frameworks and guidelines to ensure corporate compliance with legal requirements and minimize legal risk exposure.
  • Identify potential legal and compliance risks through periodic assessments and recommend action plans to mitigate such risks.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, on legal and compliance matters.

Requirements
Must
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including experience managing teams
  • Solid understanding of Singapore laws and regulations, with exposure to APAC legal frameworks
  • Proven experience in contract drafting, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) negotiation, and providing senior advisory support
  • Able to handle legal and compliance matters independently
  • Strong ability to manage multiple ongoing matters and deliver results within deadlines
Advantageous
  • Qualified in Singapore or Malaysia Bar
  • Experience leading end-to-end corporate M&A transactions across APAC, India, and the Middle East
