Job description

• Position : Laboratory Technician / Senior Laboratory Scientist (LC-MS/MS)

• Location : Buona Vista (Buona Vista MRT and Bus nearby)

• Working hours : Monday to Friday (9am – 6pm) *might have shift work arrangement

• Salary (commensurate with experience) : Junior: Up to $3,200, Senior: Up to $4,500

• Duration : Permanent

• Industry : Laboratory / R&D / Science

Main Responsibilities

Junior Level (Entry / 0–3 years)

• Receive, log, and process biological samples for LC-MS/MS, proteomics, metabolomics and NGS workflows
• Perform routine sample preparation including extraction, digestion and cleanup
• Support LC-MS/MS operations, data acquisition and sequencing library preparation with quality checks
• Maintain accurate documentation, data traceability and laboratory equipment in compliance with ISO, CAP and 5S standards
• Assist with troubleshooting and other laboratory support tasks as required

Senior Level (3+ years)

• Perform end-to-end LC-MS/MS workflows independently
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot LC-MS and HPLC/UPLC systems
• Analyze data and review bioinformatics outputs
• Develop, optimize and validate laboratory methods
• Ensure compliance with ISO and CAP accreditation standards
• Train and supervise junior staff
• Support customer troubleshooting and technical inquiries
• Assist with sequencing library preparation and quality assessment
• Lead ad-hoc laboratory projects as required

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biology or related discipline
• Junior: 0–3 years of laboratory experience (training provided for inexperienced candidates)
• Senior: Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with LC-MS/MS or related technologies
• Experience in proteomics, metabolomics and/or NGS workflows is an advantage
• Willing to work flexible hours
