Job summary

A leading life sciences company in Singapore is looking for an experienced IT Systems Specialist to support and maintain IT/OT systems connected to QC laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience, preferably in a GMP environment, and strong troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities include installing and configuring systems, executing OS migrations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of IT systems experience in GMP environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting IT/OT systems connected to QC laboratory equipment.
• Strong understanding of connectivity protocols like TCP/IP, OPC, or vendor-specific APIs.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT/OT systems (e.g., firewall, antivirus, backup, archiving) supporting QC laboratory equipment.
• Execute Windows OS deployment and OS migration activities for GMP computerized systems.
• Configure integration solutions for laboratory equipment.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, data transfer, and system integration issues between QC instruments and informatics platforms.
• Work closely with IT teams to maintain compliant network configurations, data security, and data integrity per GxP and regulatory requirements.
• Support Computer System Validation (CSV) activities and related documentation.
• Develop and maintain system and integration documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, IT, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of IT systems experience, including at least 2 years in a pharmaceutical or medical device GMP environment.
• Hands‑on experience supporting IT/OT systems connected to QC laboratory equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with QC laboratory instruments such as CDS, scales/balances, and analytical equipment.
• Preferably experienced in laboratory equipment integration, including CDS (e.g., Empower) or weighing/scale software.
• Preferred experience with Windows OS management, including OS migration.
• Knowledge of connectivity protocols such as TCP/IP, OPC, or vendor‑specific APIs.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and industry requirements (21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, ISPE GAMP 5).
