Job summary

A trading company in Singapore is seeking a Junior Risk Analyst to monitor daily derivatives positions and prepare P&L reports. Responsibilities include conducting KYC activities and providing operational support. The ideal candidate is a fresh graduate with a Bachelor's in Finance and strong skills in Microsoft 365 Excel. Proficiency in TRM and MTM is preferred.

Job description
Junior Risk Analyst – Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily derivatives positions, reconcile broker reports, and prepare hedge reports for Traders and Management, including analysis of exposure and mark-to-market (MTM) profit/loss on physical and derivative portfolios.
  • Maintain and update accurate daily P&L positions for all executed trades, ensuring data integrity and timely reflection of deal economics.
  • Prepare daily Trading P&L reports for all physical books with commentary to explain profit and loss movements arising from market changes or deal adjustments.
  • Perform monthly P&L reconciliations with the Accounting team, analyzing and explaining any variances.
  • Support the analysis of trading performance, P&L attribution, and key risk metrics.
  • Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations with Accounting to validate alignment between month-end stock and open futures positions.
  • Conduct KYC and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) activities throughout the customer lifecycle — from onboarding to periodic reviews — providing end-to-end support within the First Line of Défense.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Trading department.
  • Support other ad-hoc analyses, projects, and reporting requirements as assigned.

  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance with 2 years’ experience in the middle office or risk
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft 365 excel and power query abilities
  • Able to commit to objectives in timeline set.
