Job description

We are partnering with a prominent, mission-driven organization - closely integrated with Singapore’s public healthcare and social service ecosystem. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a high-visibility appointment for a strategic, full-spectrum HR leader ready to steward a substantial workforce of over 5,000 headcount. This role is ideal for an intellectually sharp Deputy Director or Director who possesses the maturity and professional gravitas to remain grounded to lead with a "heart for the people."

This is an opportunity to lead the organisation into its next chapter, working alongside a stable and collegiate Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

As a strategic advisor to the Board, you will find a platform that rewards logical rigor and systems thinking. Your mandate is to design and execute a People Strategy that balances high-level objectives (such as talent management and complex compensation frameworks) with the nuances of large-scale change management. You must have the 'gravitas' to present Board Papers and lead the Human Resource Committee (HRC) with clarity, while simultaneously navigating a complex stakeholder landscape and government bodies. This is a role for a leader who enjoys the 'hands-on' challenge of aligning national manpower frameworks with the lived experience of thousands of dedicated frontline staff.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings over 18 years' HR experience, with prior experience partnering with government bodies, and has successfully led a workforce exceeding 5,000 headcount. We are looking for a rare hybrid: a strategic thinker who can deconstruct complex organizational problems at the board level, yet who possesses the empathy and resilience to engage deeply with a long-serving employee base. You should be as comfortable driving HR digitalization and operational excellence as you are "walking the ground" to understand the culture you protect. This is a rare opportunity to step into a definitive leadership role where your professional brilliance directly supports the mission to enhance the community.
