Job Summary
The Hotel Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational excellence of a 5-star luxury hotel. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences, high service standards, profitability, brand compliance, and efficient management of all departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure seamless service delivery across all departments
- Maintain 5-star service standards in line with brand and luxury hospitality benchmarks
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and legal regulations
- Monitor room occupancy, guest satisfaction, and service quality
- Implement SOPs and continuously improve operational efficiency
2. Guest Experience & Quality Assurance
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and personalized luxury experiences
- Handle VIP guests, special requests, and high-level guest complaints
- Monitor guest feedback, reviews, and service scores; implement corrective action
- Maintain hotel ambiance, cleanliness, and presentation at premium standards
3. Financial & Revenue Management
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
- Monitor revenues, expenses, and profitability across departments
- Implement cost-control measures without compromising service quality
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on pricing, promotions, and revenue strategies
- Analyze financial reports and present performance updates to ownership
4. Leadership & Human Resources
- Recruit, train, motivate, and lead department heads and staff
- Foster a high-performance, service-oriented culture
- Ensure ongoing training in luxury service standards and brand values
- Conduct performance reviews and succession planning
- Maintain staff discipline, morale, and engagement
5. Sales, Marketing & Brand Management
- Support sales strategies to drive room revenue, F&B sales, and events
- Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and vendors
- Ensure brand compliance in marketing, communication, and guest experience
- Represent the hotel at industry events and networking functions
6. Safety, Security & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, fire, and emergency procedures
- Oversee security protocols for guests, staff, and property
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, licensing, and regulatory requirements
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Guest satisfaction scores and online reviews
- Occupancy rate Rate (ADR)
- Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR)
- Operating profit and cost control
- Staff retention and engagement levels
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 8–12 years of hospitality experience
- At least 3–5 years in a senior5-star or luxury hotel
- Proven experience managing large teams and multi-department operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Deep understanding of luxury hospitality standards
