Job description

Our client is a leading real estate investor and developer with a strong presence in Singapore and a portfolio of development and income-generating real estate asset classes. In line with its business growth and expansion, the company is looking to appoint an experienced and commercially astute Head of Finance to strengthen its finance leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing finance and leading the consolidation and preparation of financial and statutory reports in compliance with SGX listing rules and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
  • Leading business strategic initiatives projects including the Singapore REIT planning, preparation and structuring. Responsible for the reviewing the capital structures and the related requirements.
  • Working closely with the Leadership team to support business growth and partnerships e.g. M&A projects, Joint Ventures
  • Managing external audit processes, including the preparation and review of financial statements and liaising with auditors.
  • Supporting financial analysis and project costing for the company’s Singapore-based investment and development assets.
  • Enhancing internal controls, finance processes, and SOPs to align with group governance and regulatory standards.
  • Managing treasury operations, including cash flow monitoring, loan management, and supporting financing/refinancing activities.
  • Overseeing tax compliance, including corporate tax, GST filings, and liaising with external tax advisors as needed.
  • Working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders including legal advisors, bankers, and investors to support business initiatives.
  • Driving finance transformation projects, including ERP system implementation, automation, and UAT testing.
  • Supporting strategic and ad hoc finance-related projects as directed by senior management.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Big 4 audit experience is strongly preferred.
  • Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA) is required. Additional qualifications (e.g. CFA, MBA) are an advantage.
  • 18–20 years of relevant finance experience, including recent roles in SGX-listed real estate companies or REITs.
  • Strong knowledge of REIT operations and end-to-end financial processes, including consolidation, reporting, and compliance.
  • Proven understanding of SGX listing requirements, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance in Singapore.
  • Experience in real estate development, asset management, or property investments in the local market is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong business acumen, a hands‑on mindset, and a drive for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
