Engagement Type: Freelance

Duration: Approximately 4–6 months

Remuneration: SGD $25 per completed survey

Time per Survey: Up to 1 hour

Survey Mode: Face-to-face or online (Zoom, WhatsApp call, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

1. Participant Recruitment

  • Approach and recruit immigrants in Singapore aged 21 and above holding foreign passports (EP, SP, DP, LTVP, STP, WP, SPR).

Meet required nationality quotas:

  1. China, Malaysia, India, Indonesia (25% each)
  2. Ensure visa-type representation:
  3. 50% Work Permit holders
  4. 50% other pass holders

2. Survey Administration

  • Conduct structured survey sessions lasting 30–60 minutes, consisting of:
    • Section A: Demographic and psychographic questions (~30 questions)
    • Section B: Interactive, rule-based behavioural experiment (~10 questions)
  • Read questions clearly to participants when required.
  • Conduct interviews either in person or online.

3. Data Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all questions are answered completely and accurately.
  • Check for inconsistencies, speeding, flat‑lining, or incomplete responses.
  • Submit completed surveys promptly via the Qualtrics platform.

4. Administrative & Compliance Support

  • Track participant details for incentive disbursement (SGD $50 voucher per participant).
  • Maintain consent forms and ensure confidentiality of all data.
  • Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines on consent, privacy, and data protection.
Requirements
  • Comfortable engaging immigrants from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Fluent in English and at least one of the following languages:
    • Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, or Tamil (to meet nationality quotas)
  • Confident in conducting one‑hour interviews.
  • Prior experience in surveys, outreach, community engagement, or fieldwork is an advantage but not required.
  • Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented.
