A leading firm in the food and beverage sector in Singapore is seeking a Financial Manager. The role ensures financial health and compliance with regulations, managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years as a Finance Manager, with over 5 years in finance roles, preferably in the F&B industry. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. The Financial Manager is to ensure the F&B business entity’s financial health and resources are in proper order for operational efficiency. You must ensure the finance and accounting compliance with statutory law, finance, and tax regulations; cash flow and budget planning and forecasting; financial reporting and audit preparation.
Financial Accounting and Reporting: Manage day-to-day accounting activities, prepare financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements), and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets, forecast future financial performance, and analyze variances.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure the integrity of financial information.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity and optimize financial performance.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost reduction opportunities, and improvement areas.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, prepare tax returns, and manage tax liabilities.
Audit Coordination: Collaborate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
A Degree in Finance & Accounting with at least 2 years of experience as a Finance Manager and more than 5 years of working experience in a finance role.
Relevant experience in F&B industry is preferred.
Strong financial knowledge and understanding of compliance regulations and practices.
Proficiency in financial management, cash flow planning, audit planning, execution, and reporting.
Ability to identify risk and assess potential financial risks.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, anomalies, and make informed decisions.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders at different levels.
Attention to detail and critical thinking are required to analyze complex information and make sound judgments.
Good organization skills, managing multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and growing environment.
Leadership skills to supervise and develop the finance team, provide guidance, and support.
