Working hours :9am - 6pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

OVERVIEW (Finance Assistant):

The Finance Assistant will provide day-to-day support to the Finance Manager and Finance team in accounting, reporting, and finance operations. The role focuses on ensuring accurate record-keeping, assisting with financial transactions, and supporting compliance and internal processes.

OVERVIEW (Senior Finance Executive):

To assist and support the Finance Manager to perform day to day accounting and finance functions covering all aspects of financial accounting and internal audit and reporting; consolidate their work and ensuring its quality and accuracy, especially for reporting purposes; Supporting role to effective compliance and efficiency in Finance.

JOB SCOPES (Finance assistant)
Accounting Operations:
  • Assist in maintaining accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets Register.
  • Support staff and program teams by responding to routine financial queries.
  • Assist in reconciling accounts and ensuring accurate data entry.
Financial Reporting:
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare basic financial reports and schedules as required.
  • Assist in consolidating financial information for management review.
Budgeting Support:
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and mid-year review exercises.
  • Help monitor budget performance and prepare simple variance reports.
Audit Support:
  • Provide support during internal and statutory audits by preparing schedules and documents as directed.
  • Assist in liaising with auditors for information requests.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
  • Help ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
  • Assist in maintaining proper documentation and records for audit purposes.
  • Recommend minor improvements to accounting processes as directed.
Other Duties:
  • Perform ad hoc finance and administrative duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Accountancy / Progress toward ACCA/CA qualifications, or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of accounting or finance support experience (experience in preschool, education, or social service sector is advantageous).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with maintaining accounts and assisting in reporting.
  • Been exposure to charity fund accounting or not-for-profit finance.
JOB SCOPES (Senior Finance Executive)
ACCOUNTING OPERATIONS
  • Manage and maintain full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Fixed Assets Register.
  • Provide accounting assistance to programs and support staff, responds to financial questions/concerns to meet organizational needs.
Reporting
  • Perform month-end and year-end close, ensure accuracy of management accounts and financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and compliance to internal policies.
  • Prepare and submit ad hoc financial reports as required on a timely basis
BUDGETING
  • Support annual budget exercise.
  • Support midyear review exercise.
INTERNAL/STATUTORY AUDIT
  • Assist with internal audit exercise as required.
  • Manage statutory audit including schedules preparation and liaising with external auditor
INTERNAL CONTROLS AND COMPLIANCE
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, polices and processes for the accounting function and exercise enforcement as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Review and recommend improvements in accounting systems and procedures
Ad Hoc
  • Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • ACCA/CA / Diploma and above in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of financial accounting experience in preschool setting / Charity fund accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application (Excel, Word etc) and accounting software.
  • With experiences in maintaining full sets of accounts and reporting.
