Job summary

A legal organization in Singapore is seeking a motivated candidate for a legal administrative support role. The successful applicant will manage complaints, assist Committees, and prepare essential documents in line with the Legal Profession Act 1966. Ideal candidates should have a Diploma in Law/Legal Studies and at least 2 years of relevant experience in a Singapore law practice.

Job description

We are looking for a candidate with a keen interest in regulatory work to assist the Inquiry Panel Secretariat in carrying out its functions. The successful candidate will provide legal administrative support in administering the processes of the Review and Inquiry Committees in accordance with the Legal Profession Act 1966 (“the Act”).

The specific duties include:

· Processing complaints referred to the Inquiry Panel Secretariat under the Act

· Appointing members from the Inquiry Panel to serve on the Review and Inquiry Committees

· Assisting in the administration of the proceedings of the Review and Inquiry Committees

· Preparing all correspondences and other documents relating to the proceedings of the Review and Inquiry Committees as required under the Act

· Compiling and analyzing statistics pertaining to Review and Inquiry Committee cases

Requirements

· Diploma in Law/ Legal Studies

· At least 2 years’ working experience preferably in the litigation department of a Singapore law practice

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines

· Strong language ability with demonstrated proficiency in writing and verbal communication skills

· Ability to multi-task efficiently, whilst maintaining a high quality of work and attention to detail within tight deadlines

· Self-motivated, resourceful and good team player with good administrative and organisational skills

· Highly ethical, discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
