Overview

Driven by Singapore Sustainability Roadmap and the global demand in sustainability, our team is expanding, and we are looking for candidates who expressed interest in the built environment to provide advisory to stakeholders and lead project team to attain their sustainable goals and visions.

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and knowledgeable Green Building Consultant to join our team. As a Green/ Sustainability Building Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding clients in adopting sustainable and environmentally friendly building practices. You will provide advisory on green building certifications, energy efficiency, and eco-friendly materials, helping clients design and construct buildings that minimize their environmental impact. You will be working with a young and dynamic team and look forward to a learning curve which will polish your project management skill and understanding of Green/ Sustainability Certification and standard.

Responsibilities

1. Client Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their sustainability goals and objectives for building projects. Provide expert advice on green building practices and strategies.
2. Certification Guidance: Assist clients in obtaining green building certifications such as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) or other regional certifications. Guide clients through the certification process, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
3. Energy Efficiency: Evaluate building designs and recommend energy-efficient solutions. Advise on renewable energy sources, HVAC systems, insulation, and lighting to minimize energy consumption and maximize efficiency.
4. Sustainable Materials: Research and recommend eco-friendly building materials and construction methods. Provide guidance on sourcing sustainable materials that meet environmental standards.
5. Environmental Assessments: Conduct environmental assessments of building sites to identify opportunities for sustainable design, including site selection, water conservation, and landscaping practices.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about green building regulations, codes, and standards. Ensure that building projects meet or exceed local and national environmental requirements.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate green building principles into project designs and plans. Provide ongoing support and advice during the construction phase.
8. Education and Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients and project teams to raise awareness about green building practices and the benefits of sustainable construction.
9. Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients, outlining green building strategies, certifications achieved, and environmental benefits. Maintain accurate records of project-related information.
10. Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in green building practices. Continuously enhance expertise through training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Post-diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
• Professional certification such as LEED AP/ WELL AP/ GMAP/ GMAAP is highly desirable.
• At least 2 years of working experience in green building consulting
• In-depth knowledge of green building certifications, energy modelling software, and sustainable construction materials.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
