Responsibilities
  • Oversee all electrical and automation systems onboard vessels, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance programs for electrical and automation equipment, enhancing the efficiency and safety of operations.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical and automation issues, providing guidance and support to technical teams onboard as well as during dockings.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring systems are maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of electrical and automation systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, engineering, and safety, to ensure effective and efficient workflows.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to electrical and automation systems, focusing on optimization and innovation.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians and ensure knowledge transfer within the electrical and automation team.
  • Prepare detailed reports on performance metrics and improvement initiatives and present findings to management.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends related to electrical and automation systems, implementing relevant advancements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical and automation roles, preferably within the marine industry.
