The Opportunity

• Adecco is partnering with a leading technology company to hire an Edge AI and IoT Engineer.

• This role involves developing, integrating, and optimizing machine learning models on Android-based IoT devices, contributing to the core software of advanced edge AI products.

• The role will start off as a contract role.

The Job

Looking for Edge AI and IoT Engineers to build and maintain machine learning software on Android devices, such as AI-enabled cameras. You’ll be responsible for turning advanced ML models into efficient, on-device features that power intelligent IoT systems. This role is essential in developing the core components of smart, machine learning–driven products.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain ML algorithms and edge AI models on Android IoT devices.

• Integrate models into Android systems and optimize them for performance.

• Apply ML techniques to video, audio, and sensor data processing.

• Support product and operations teams with technical expertise.

• Produce technical documentation and assist with patent-related work.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience (at least 3 years) in Android development and on-device machine learning implementation.

• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or C/C++ with a solid background in large-scale software development.

• Hands-on experience deploying and optimizing ML models on Android using frameworks like TensorFlow Lite or PyTorch Mobile.

• Deep understanding of Android internals (kernel, drivers, memory, scheduling) and ability to diagnose system-level issues.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
