Job description

Job Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Data Centre Operator (ITO) to support the operations of our data centers. This role provides round-the-clock (24x7x365) monitoring and first-level support to ensure system availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24x7x365 operational support for data centers.
  • Monitor system alerts and events from tools such as Automic, SFX, Email alerts, ITOM, CCTV, BMS and NetBackup, ensuring timely response and accurate ticket logging.
  • Supervise and manage batch job execution to ensure completion within defined timeframes without impacting online operations.
  • Deliver on-site "smart hands" assistance for critical support tasks, including hardware checks and coordination with remote teams.
  • Maintain the safety, security, and operational integrity of the data center environments at all times.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
  • Document incidents, shift handovers, and daily operational logs accurately.
  • Carry out routine equipment and infrastructure checks, escalating anomalies when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall data center operations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT operations or data center environment.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring and job scheduling tools such as Automic, ITOM, and NetBackup.
  • Strong multitasking and analytical skills; able to handle high-volume alerts and tickets efficiently.
  • Willing to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
  • Physically fit to support on-site operational tasks in a secure environment.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
