Job summary

A popular restaurant in Singapore is seeking a customer-focused team member who can efficiently take orders, serve food and beverages, and assist with managing guest flow. The ideal candidate must be able to converse in both English and Mandarin to cater to a diverse clientele. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining the quality of dining items, handling cashier duties, and supporting the restaurant manager with various tasks. Job description
  • Take customer orders for food and beverages accurately and efficiently.
  • Recommend specialty dishes and menu items to enhance the dining experience.
  • Greet and seat customers promptly upon arrival.
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inspect and maintain the quality and condition of chinaware, glassware, and table linens.
  • Ensure good condition of chinaware, glassware and tablecloth
  • Clear tables and reset them with clean tableware and linens after each guest leaves.
  • Perform cashier duties when required, including handling payments and issuing receipts.
  • Assist in hostess duties, including managing reservations and guest flow.
  • Answer incoming phone calls during designated rest hours (3:00 PM – 5:00 PM).
  • Perform all other tasks delegated by the Restaurant Manager / Supervisor.

To ensure and create a positive experience, you will need to be able to converse in both simple English and Mandarin as you will be required to communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers.
