Job description

Context
Integration (EAI) is at the heart of L’Oréal IT strategy. The integration platform in North Asia and SAPMENA aims to modernize data flows with various business partners across Digital, Retail, Finance, Supply Chain, and B2B through APIs. The North Asia and SAPMENA regions include countries such as Japan, South Korea, India, and China, which are at the forefront of digital innovation and continuously pushing boundaries in this domain.

The Role
The Integration Manager is responsible for managing the integration work stream covering new interfaces and the development of existing ones. This involves working with Source System IT Leads and Business Users to understand integration requirements, analyze system and business impacts, and coordinate with development teams to review plans, oversee implementation, and ensure operational excellence.

The Integration Manager should be technically strong, capable of driving architectural discussions, recommending integration patterns, and promoting best practices. The role also includes defining the roadmap, adopting innovative integration approaches, coordinating extensively with stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication and reporting at senior levels.

Job Responsibilities

Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking ability

Understand business requirements and work with process analysts to ensure integration activities support business processes

Architect, develop, validate, and maintain integration solutions using Event Driven Architecture, API, ESB, MFT, ETL, and Workato

Understand master and transaction data and provide expertise in solution design and maintenance

Create technical specifications for integration projects

Act as a key point of contact for integration initiatives

Manage large-scale integration projects with strong project management skills

Develop prototypes and demonstrate solution alternatives to business and functional users

Develop unit, integration, and system test plans and scripts

Resolve defects across all phases of development and maintenance

Act as a primary contact for delivery of integration projects across business units

Take ownership as project manager for specific projects

Troubleshoot critical production and non-production issues

Design and build scalable solutions using DevOps processes to support peak loads during promotions

Coordinate testing efforts to identify and resolve integration issues

Understand complex integration landscapes involving Event Driven Architecture, API, ESB, MFT, ETL, and Workato

Provide regular status reporting to senior stakeholders

Manage stakeholders effectively and negotiate with senior leaders

Drive vendor delivery organizations and influence cross-functional outcomes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 12+ years of information technology experience

Expertise in application design/architecture, integration architecture, and enterprise application integration

Competence in IT service and architecture development

Experience with integration projects involving REST APIs

Ability to evaluate new technologies and support technical change management

Hands-on experience with:

API Gateway

ESB

MFT

Informatica

Workato

Understanding of cloud-based integration platforms

Strong project management and influencing skills

Ability to quickly absorb and innovate with new technologies

Capable of performing functional requirements and business process analysis

Experience working as a Solution Manager for end-to-end integration implementation

Knowledge of software development and quality management processes to support continuous improvement

Ability to act as a business analyst and provide consulting to IT and business users

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
